The European VOD Coalition welcomes ViacomCBS as a new member

The European Video-on-Demand (VOD) Coalition has added ViacomCBS as a new member. The Coalition is delighted to welcome ViacomCBS as a partner in supporting the role of the European audiovisual and streaming sectors and in encouraging creativity and innovation in internet entertainment.

Statement by ViacomCBS:

ViacomCBS is delighted to join the European VOD Coalition. As a global media entertainment company and home to some of the world's premier content brands in TV, film, online and mobile, including Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and Pluto TV, we fully share the Coalition’s core values and objectives. Investment and production of audiovisual content in Europe is a priority for us, including via our growing AVOD and SVOD services. A large number of our films and TV productions are located in the EU and reach tens of millions of citizens every day across the EU, where we have offices in 13 countries that employ 1,600 people. We look forward to working in close collaboration with the other Coalition members to demonstrate the importance and specificities of the European VOD sector, and to add our voice to policy debates, to demonstrate the creativity and innovation of the digital entertainment industry.
